comparision of 11KV & 6.6KV

Dear All,

in our new project our incoming line is 220KV.we have two options to step down 11KV & 6.6KV.11 KV is more expensive than 6.6KV.but during running we can reduce the current loss due to that we can cash back that difference amount with in 2 to 5 years.my question is there is any technical problem for using 11KV instead of 6.6KV. kindly advise me.

we are going to use two no's of 20/25MVA transformer ( two bay arrangement). both the transformer will be loaded upto 70%.

What is the application? Is it an industrial site? A residential or commercial subdivision? Will your High Voltage (11 or 6.6kV) be overhead or underground?

it is industrial application.we will provide overhead cable cantry for this application

Look at the costs for 6.6KV equipment and then 11KV. Most 11KV gear is off the shelf and will work out cheaper.

Each system has its advantages & disadvantages. One has to do a cost-benefit analysis.
