Stealth Mode Has Been Lost

03/04/2011 3:40 AM

Hi Admins!!

I spotted the new colours and layout tweaks a few days back (pretty and shiny blue...<smile>), but only found the posting issue today.

Before the upgrade, when I hade the IE7 window reduced in size, then the pop-up menus (emoticons, URL entry, etc) then had scroll bars on them.

Now, they appear randomly and require a window maximisation - terribly unsubtle at work!! It also turns off the window scroll bar, so I can't go looking for the pop-up, I have to maximise!

Is there any way this element of the change can be reversed, please? I haven't tried it on my netbook yet, but I suspect I'll have a similar problem as I can't display the whole editor window on that tiny screen....

<insert the crying emotion here..I can't!>

I'm using a different browser and noticed a glitch too, but only with the emoticon window. It shows up at the way bottom of the screen with only the top of the window showing. I can't scroll to bring it up where I can see or use it..............but it's random, not every time.

Try running Safari and you won't have the emoticon window at all. :-/

I suppose if you are at work, you are stuck using IE due to your MIS dept. If not, i.e., if you are allowed to change your browser, try running Mozilla Firefox. The only changes I've noticed are the colors and some minor format differences. All of the editing features of the Reply box are working, the same as before the change.

Oh no!

I just tried to cut and paste lyn and it didn't work. I've tried it here with this lyn.

Oh no, cutting and pasting no longer retains an active link to the subject, as before.
