Installation of Screw Roofing

03/11/2011 2:09 AM

What is the best equipment to install screw roofing, lets say on a 10m height location. I mean what are the tools to use.

What exactly do you mean by "Screw Roofing"?

Do you mean corrugated roofing? If so then you need a screw gun (that's like a drill with a screw adapter), a good saw, a tape measurer and a whole lot of screws. There will be some other things you'll need as well. A ladder, marker or pencil...

You forgot to mention that the best bit about the materials you suggested is that they can be used not only on roofs at 10 meter heights, but at 4 and 7 meter as well. How's that for versatile tools? PS, maybe you should have included a safety harness in the list.

I pre-drill my screw holes to line up with the purlins. Make a stack of the panels and drill them all at once. If you use a screw gun you can set the torque so that the washers are not squished out... Also with pre-drilled holes, it looks like you knew what you were doing...
