Massacre in Libya

03/11/2011 1:20 PM

Hi dears sirs,

I'm writing to you in order to show how much suppression we "the Libyans" suffer nowadays.. we've been under internal occupation for about 42 years ago…. We fed up with this situation because we're ruled by a dictator or let's say a despot... this mentally-insane man takes possession over everything here in Libya ... he pretended that he has no authority over the Libyan as he mentioned in his misleading book (The green book) accordingly... he stated that "authority, wealth and weapons are at peoples' hands"… I personally don't know which kind of power and wealth he means in that base book…. Do you know that it's banned to open your mouth at all except into the dentist room!!!… moreover, anybody will be executed in public when trying to express his/her intentions and thoughts with any foreigners (like what I'm doing now)… in terms of wealth, although I'm an engineer of 5 years experience, my basic salary is roughly 500 US$ in a country producing 2 M barrels daily.. also bear in mind that the population of Libya is less than 6 M !!!! No infrastructure, no good education, no good medical treatment( if you get sick, then you have to travel to Tunisia or Egypt),…and in total, no good quality of life( this led me to work additional part-time jobs) … at first, we protested in non-violent way against the regime claiming for political improvements, but Qaddafi's security forces as well as many mercenaries from African nationalities (I heard that some military pilots are from Serbia and Ukraine) attacked us using heavy weapons, they killed a lot of civilians with cold blood as the tyrant said "I will turn it(Libya) into burnt land",… I'm asking: why all of that happens?? We need to get some legal demands including : freedom, dignity, justice and getting good quality of life … that's it.. Is this wrong? The dictator is trying to deface the innocent revolution in Libya by saying that the protestors are drugs-addicts at first, then as members of Al Qaeda (threatening the west in order to get their support)and so on … the west knows this man very well through his international crimes (Abu Sleem massacre, Aids children in Benghazi, Lockerby explosion,…. Etc)… I assure that there's no civil war in Libya as some people think, it's a war against Qaddafi and his gang…. we got to an end with this despot..

I'll get in touch with you if I survive…….

Kind regards............

Everything you said is right. Qaddafi is insane. My thoughts are with you and your countrymen during this time. Keep us posted if you can.

Hopefully, admin doesn't pull this. I was on a ship in the Mediterranean off the Libyan coast back in around 1983, we were being zipped close by Qaddafi's fighter planes. It's too bad we didn't get the SOB here.

The second part of my post should have been addressed to the forum in general.

Ali18: I wish you safety and freedom with all speed. Nobody believes what the crazy man says, don't worry about that. We are concerned about you instead.

Although we don't have power to help you as individuals, I did sign a petition to the UN to establish a no-fly zone and prevent Qaddafi from using his air power to attack the people. This is maybe the only small way that a person like me can show my support for you.

Please survive, and do get in touch and let us know. It will be over, I'm sure he will be ousted, but I wish it could happen faster.

Virtually everyone on CR4 will sympathize with your plight. I certainly add my best thoughts and wishes to those of the others.
