What makes my 2004 h-hummer speed meter jump to 60mph when barely moving?

Try getting a reading on a scan tool. It should tell you weather it is a bad speed sensor(s), or the display. Good luck.

GM had a lot of trouble with the servo motors used in those dash displays. i had to have the mine replaced in our 2004 impala for doing the same thing.
