Filler Wire for SS Pipe

Can ASTM A 312 ss 304 and 316 pipe can be welded together, which filler wire to be use for welding

or E/ER 309, or E/ER 308L. Check your WPS/PQR

As per API RP 582 ,you can use,

E308 (SFA 5.4) for SMAW / ER308 (SFA 5.9) for GTAW

OR

E316 (SFA 5.4) for SMAW / ER316 (SFA 5.9) for GTAW
