What Kind of Engineer Are You?

03/17/2011 10:12 AM

....I'm not asking if you are a mechanical, electrical, chemical, or other species of engineer. I would like to know if you are an 8 hour-a-day engineer or a 24 hour engineer. I've known engineers who knew their job and others who I wondered how they ever passed their classes. Some engineers work at their job, go home to their families and forget about engineering until the next day. Some exhibit manual skills and are capable of fixing things, like cars or appliances around the house that break down, without the need of calling in a "professional". Others have no idea how to fix something or are not inclined toward such activity. Some have hobbies that take advantage of their engineering skills. In other words, do you apply your engineering skills to everyday solutions or just at the job?

In deed I do.

Engineering is after all the world of pragmatic ranking and solving within a set of parameters. I.e. If one introduces the unexpected variable of a female - so hysteresis - a delay can be involved and you are the monkey.

In analyzing this problem, I have developed the GPSlingus.

This product suits the partner not embracing the tenants of the largest South American country, and I'm currently debating who to license for world wide distribution.

Should I choose Doorman-Slack corp or Kris-Del?
