Operating density - density of gas during the process,

Normal Density- Density at NTP (Normal temp and pressure)

Does that sounds logical?

how can calculate the operation density if i know the normal density and pressure and Temperature of the process gas.

Or how can I measure the operating density for a gas passing in gas pipe line during normal operation.

Normal density of the process gas is density at normal pressure (1 atm or 1.013 bar a) and temperature (273 degK). It is expressed in kg/Nm^3, where Nm^3 is unit for volume (Vn) at normal pressure and temperature of the process gas. To get the operating density, first calculate ratio of operating volume (Vo) and (Vn) using gas equation as follows:

Vo/Vn = (Pn/Po) (To/Tn)

I understand that you know the normal density and operating pressure (Po) and Temperature(To) of the process gas. Pn = 1.013 bar a and Tn = 273 degK.

Now operating density = normal density/(Vo/Vn)
