Load Flow Analysis In ETAP Software

03/20/2011 10:14 AM

1. In Load Flow Analysis using etap software, I have taken max generation to be 110 %. but Our project starts from GRID not from the GENERATOR. so tis 110% max gen, Is GRID power or GENERATOR power ?.....

2. can Power grid considered as swing bus ?

3. what are the assumption made in etap software during Load Flow Analysis using Newton Raphson method ?

You don't need to use generator in your ETAP One Line model in this case, rather use the icon 'Utility' for grid supply. When use utility, you need to enter the fault MVA (in addition to other parameters) for the utility supply. Yes, utility supply works as swing bus.

it is grid power only. May be ur grid power greater than 110%. But your minimum creterial for grid should be 110%.
