Ventillation Ducting

Any one please Explain what is DRYWALL PARTITION in ducting.Is it same as Fire rating of ducting or different.

Drywall, also known as sheetrock or gypsum board is referring to the substrate that the ducting passes through. The wall itself..........not the ducting.

There may be a flanged fitting that attaches to the drywall to help support the ducting.
