Specifications and Certifications for Lightning Rods

What is the preferred conductor (metal) and minimal dimensional

characteristics for technical specification of

lightning rods...that meets or exceeds the N.E.Code and N.F.P.A.

guidelines for engineering safety in explosive/ hazardous material

['HAZMAT' ] chemical manufacturing environments?

It is impossible to give an answer from you lack of info. What do you need to protect how high is it what is it made of? You indicate hazmat what materials? More More info please.

In general, the preferred metal is copper for rods, downleads, and ground plates/rods.
For some special installations the 'points` are silver plated.

Without a lot more information on the premisis to be protected,
more, this deponent sayeth not.

If the installation is large, you might look into radioactive, (ionizing),
tower mounted 'points`. (Larger areas covered).

If "Hazmat" refers to explosive gasses or vapors pay special attention to
'bodies of inductance` in the neighborhood of the downleads.
