Hook Up Drawings

Are these hook up drawings are preliminary drawings for final piping drawings????

What exactly these hook up drawings represent??

Tornado,

The hookup drawing is generally engineering design document which has been furnished before installation of instrument at site. It is just basic guid line how the instrument will connect with the main process pipeline with which type of hook-up accessories. It is also used to select the proper hook-up accessories for purchasing.

In construction engg, It is a diagram showing how the device connects to the variuos cables or other equipment that it need in order to work properly.

Hook up drawing represent the impulse line piping connected to the process line. andl also it tells about the bill of material used in the particular hookup.

Every flow, pressure and level transmitter has hook up drawing.
