Weldolet-MSS SP 97

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me the difference b/w Full and Reducing Weldolet available in MSS SP 93, table A1, A2, A3 , i mean for what reason we have two types of weldolets.

I'm not completely sure I understand your question but I'll offer an answer based on what I believe you are asking. Quite simply, the reducing weldolet is used when the pipe or valve opening transitions from a greater size to a smaller one, therefore "reducing". The full is used when there is no transition downward from one size to the other.

I hope I've not over-simplified your question. Can you provide more information??

Precisely yes, your assumption is correct.I wanted to know the same, where do we use Reducing and full Weldolet? My understanding was, that weldolet is only used for branch size lower than that of header size.

But i am not sure where do we use the Full weldolet, i mean branch size same as that of header size. I have never used weldolet in such case but only Equal Tee. Have you experienced using Full Weldolet, if yes, then can you please depict the detail and such requirement of weldolet in place of equal tee.
