synchronous motor

A synchronous motor runs at a load angle of 20 degree at the rated frequency.If supply frequency is increased by 10% keeping other parameters constant ,the new load angle will be 18 degree.

i dont know how they arrive this?please help me

i want to know the relationship between the two terms.

Here is a link that gives a pretty good explanation of synchronous machines.

When the shaft load is assumed to be constant the product of the driving voltage supply times the sin of the load angle is constant.

Ef1 sin(δ1) = Ef2 sin (δ2).

I haven't found a general relationship between excitation frequency and load angle.

There shouldn't be a relationship between excitation freq and load angle, it ends up as DC in the rotating field of the motor.
