04/17/2011 11:32 PM

Does anyone know what cfr to reference to find out when a nitrogen regulator used on chemical tank barges for displacing vacuum and mantanging positive pressure while discharging cargo needs to be calibrated? Annual. Or quarterly or what is the time frame in Wichita they can still stay in working order?

Call the local Coast Guard Duty Officer. They will assist you in getting the proper information.

The Coast Guard was divided up into 6 or 7 "Districts", each with a "Marine Safety Office" - MSO - Command. The MSO's were usually are in a major city - San Francisco, New York, Juneau, etc.

The MSO has answers for your questions.
