What is the difference between fire resistant hose and fire retardant hose ?

What are the international standards to which fire resistant hose and fire retardant hose must comply?

A resistant hose would be of a material that would resist burning. But they will burn. The material itself will be fuel for the fire. Resistance is usually duration of time in the fire.

A retardant hose would be of a material that would not fuel the fire.
