Hello all,

All pressure remaining pare shall be applied in WPS with regard to manufacturing Pressure vessel and Heat Exchanger. BTW, Non-pressure part shall be also applied in WPS? Someone who know well ASME Sec. VIII would help me the matter pertaining to preparing WPS for customer approval I believe.

Someone tell me all welding shall be applied in WPS in order to manufacture Pressure vessel and Heat Exchanger but they don t tell me correct reason why all welding shall be applied in WPS.. so I would like to know where I can make sure the range of welding which shall be applied in WPS.

Please advise me.. I need help to try to better understand above matter.

In design and fabrication of pressure vessels and heat exchangers, as per ASME code, all WPS's and PQR's are required for both pressure retaining parts and non pressure parts, since it will leads to a sound weldment for the whole welded equipment.

you clearly are incompetent to do this job. You are going to get someone killed. Admit you are over your head to your boss and tell him to find someone who knows what in hell they are doing before it is too late and you end up killing someone. The life you save might well be your own.
