Spring Loaded and Mineral Insulated RTD

Hi all,

Can anyone please explain what is mineral insulated, Spring loaded RTD and How does it beneficial as I find it in almost all contract documents. Please upload any images if you have for reference....

I think some form of mineral (or ceramic) insulation is common within the sheath of a thermocouple, RTD, thermistor, or ICTD (integrated circuit temperature detector); except at the sensitive part of the probe.

Spring loading would be a way to ensure good thermal contact between the probe and the object whose temperature is being sensed.
