1- You use for instance google and write as request :"design machine foundation by Barken method" and you read the text and make the computations 2- You ask at the nearest university if they have a course in soil mechanics and foundation design and follow it for a full year. The subject it by far too complex to be explained in a chat site as CR4.

I do not know who is confused since there is a BARKEN method for foundation analysis and design. I wanted to stress the fact that to design a foundation for a working machine is not at all a trivial problem since there is a 3D vibration with 6 degrees of freedom and if not correctly lead unpleasant or even dangerous resonances can appear.

nick name is correct.......a "cookie cutter" approach to designing a SAFE foundation for a working and moving piece of equipment is not for the uninitiated and unskilled/uneducated....minimum of 1 year of structural engineering in concrete design (incl. foundations), soils mechanics (incl. pile, caisson etc design), dynamics theory and design + a few years under the belt working under the skilled guidance of a PE who knows what the hell he's doing!
