Rubber Compression Molding

05/09/2011 7:30 AM

Dear all,

I have a hydraulic press of 325 ton capacity,max applied pressure=100 kg/sq.cm.

(Ram radius=160 mm,4 nos.).platen size=1200x2200 mm.

We are planning to mold rubber wall guard of size 200x2000x25 mm thick-5 cavity in a mold of size 1150x2000 mm.

ie. mould area=1150x2000=23,000 sq.cm.cavity area=5(200x2000)=20,000 sq.cm.

Will the applied pressure acts over the entire mold area or cavity area?

If cavity area:at max,100 pressure sp.pressure=325000/20000=16.25 kg/sq.cm.

Is this sp.pressure enough to mold this object?or do we have to reduce the cavity no?what is the miminum sp.pressure required to mold a rubber object(to prevent cavity unfilling). Can anybody please help?

How many times are you going to prove that you know nothing about compression molding here? I'd think that by now, you would have taken the time to learn JUST A LITTLE about the compression molding process.

This is the third or fourth time you have come here to ask the same elementary question.

Go back and look at any of the answers I have given you in the past, cause they are still true.

Get off your lazy butt and learn something about the process and quit asking us to do your work for you!!!!!!!!!!
