Suggestions Regarding Design of Bionic Limb Using Solidworks

05/27/2011 2:24 AM

Hi

I am working out on a project on design of bionic upper limb using a single CAD software. I have seen that this can be done using Pro E and the analysis done using MATLAB. I need some suggestions regarding imparting motion to upper limb of human using CAD software. I want to try modeling, imparting motion and also analysing the upper limb using preferably solid works.

Solidworks now has motion analysis built into it i believe, did you check it out?

i am a switchgear designer, and i use Solidworks to do the designing, and then export to a software called Visual Nastran 4D, which is a kinematic analysis software. Works beautifully for me. Unfortunately, VN4D has been withdrawn by the company, which prefers to sell ADAMS now. You can search the website of MSC for these software.
