IE9 Fail!

05/30/2011 8:59 AM

Internet Explorer 9 is no good, it completely stalled my Google Blogger account.
My previous post wingeing about it was fairly trivial, but I've just discovered that it has screwed my Blogger account, I could write new posts but not 'publish' them.
Be warned. (I did prove it by publishing from Mrs Cats laptop (without IE9) successfully, then trying again from this PC)
I've uninstalled IE9 as suggested by Kramarat.
Of course you can't actually contact Microsoft without them charging you!
Will they ever realise that new≠better? Sorry...silly question.

Wouldn't it be nice if "they" actually finished something before they sent it out for unsuspecting users to de-bug?

I share your pain and your sense of helplessness. I'm hoping that our reward will come in Heaven, cause it's almost too late to get it here on earth.

Hits under the belt? Can't believe it! Not that! Oh no! Can't be true! The world won't be the same again! Selling my shares! Bill.

As a user of Google services, other than the search engine, I can tell you I think they only optimise their web sites for Chrome and ignore the other browsers. The problem wont be IE9, it will be that Google application. I use IE9 and have no problems.

It appears that there are 'compatibility settings' which may enable it to work.
It doesn't alter the fact that IE9 as installed didn't work. If MS is going to inflict 'upgrades' upon us it could at least make sure that they adjust themselves to match the users setting.
If they can't manage the above there should at least be a pop upsaying that the compatibility setting may need changes to make it work for some applications.
The is no excuse for the arbitary user interface changes.

The whole scietific principal of experimentation is based on changing one variable and seeing what results.
Changing IE version screwed by blogger, changing it back cured it.... you can hardly blame the blogger which remained constant throughout.
The conclusion is self evident.
