Instruments Not Working

05/30/2011 6:32 PM

all dash gages are out, tachometer, speedometor, odeoeter/tripmeter, fuelgauge, lights are all out, would this be a fuse or something else, and if something else, would it be easy to fix? optima ex 6 cyl, 2004

If you know your battery has at least 12 volts and you have power to other things in the car, dome lights etc., then the fuses would be the first place to start, (2) then the wire connection on the back of the Instrument cluster, then (3) the ECU. But being you've lost everything, I'd suspect a fuse to the ECU. I don't have a wire schematic in front of right now to be able to tell you which fuses feed your ECU.

Good Luck and let us know what you find. DJ

You are going to have to provide a lot my information before anyone can start to answer your post. For starters, does the engine start and run?
