How to Read .ecg File in Matlab

hi,

i am working on ECG implementation on TI dsp kit. I have stored the ecg files as '.ecg' format. Now i want to open the files in matlab. But matlab does not recoganize the file. So is there a way i can read those files in Matlab??

I don't know if this will work for Matlab, but it works with other programs: Open the .ecg files using either the original program that generated the files or using a text-editing program like Word or Notepad. Then re-save the file as text files with the .txt extension (or .dat or .doc -- whatever Matlab will recognize). Sometimes Excel works this way too, allowing you to open a specialized format file and then save it in a generic format.
