If Fuses/MCBs are laid in a horizontal plane ('X' axis) it is Horizontal DB and if they are laid in a vertical plane ('Y' axis) then it is vertical DB.

Isn't it self-evident within the words "horizontal" and "vertical"?

Please don't SHOUT. Many readers here are Case Sensitive.

When busbar is vertically mounted and MCBs ( mounted on those busbars) in horizontal, then it is vertical distribution board.

And when busbar is horizontal and MCBs are vertical, then it is horizontal distribution board.

this is customized distribution board, although now it is in every manufacturer's production range.

Vertical and horizontal words were used, when MCB itself was new product. Now there is no such terminology used.

Earlier in vertical DBs, we had SP as well as TP MCBs in outgoing. But in horizontal Dbs, we had only SP MCBs in outgoing. Later, 3 phase busbar was introduced which allowed us to have Sp as well as TP MCBs also in outgoing circuit.

OK, so why does it matter?

means earlier vertical distribution board means DB with vertical busbars. And horizontal DB means horizontal busbar.

Nowadays, if the height of the DB is more than its horizontal width, people call it as vertical DB, and if the height is less than horizontal width, people call it as horizontal DB( Irrespective of busbar position).

It is hard to see, but to me it looks like the main busbar (in the sketch in the lower left) is vertical.

Busbars appear to be veritcal, with phases A, B, and C running to banks of CB's on the right. A logical way to assign breakers for the layman when balancing the load (i.e., easier to judge for them). The rotary switches to the left would be phase selectors (?).
