in building intercom system pbx used, how the extension numbers are arranged with intercomm connections with trunk calls??? n the calls on extensions are on paid basis or it is free ???

You set it up into zones. Stations are set up with rights and privileges, applying the least privilege model. Paging zones are a good example of limited user access.

Why would you charge someone in your building for making calls on your PBX? Do you mean calls outside? The commercial trunk would incur bulk fees. It's up to you to track and charge users on your PBX.

People kept tripping over the string.

We use an Avaya PBX for secure internal communications. It's old tech, but it works and requires virtually no maintenance.
