Increasing Plant Capacity

The new requirement would depend on additional load and its diversity.

Meaning If new machines are planned to operate simultaneously with existing load simply add 230 + 2 x 85

else workout your expected maximum demand

We are adding two machines of capacity of 85 kVA each in the factory , existing running demand is 230 kVA and we have sanctioned demand of 250 kVA .

Whether the KVA what we are buying from Electricity Board will be directly the machine capacity or is there any other factors involved in it .

I understand you have 230 +2x85 kVA installed. The question is how much you use. Try mesure during 24h your demand using a power register, probably your energy bill can get you an idea. seldon a instalation use all installed power, means the machines and others loads are not all at full power at the same time.
