google LM388K variable voltage IC works from 37V DC input will with suitable heat sink give 5Amps. They can be used in parallel for higher current see data sheet.

Its not clear whether you want a single supply with both outputs, or one 12V supply and one 24V supply. Also please specify the regulation precision required (is 12-15V acceptable or do you need 12.00±0.01V). Do you want a linear (power line frequency transformer - heavy but very simple) or a switching (high frequency transformer - much lighter but significantly more complex) power supply.

What is your input power? Here is a link that may provide you with enough information to understand what you need and how to move forward.

its easy, if you neednt a hf circuit.

a transformer for insulate main power to your 15V and 28V,( two turns)

a bridge of 8--10A specifica. a power transistor of 36--76v and 8--10A, LF enough.

two small power transiftors for amplifier and drive the power one. two sample resistor and a parameter o f 10--51k.

ok if you hope to get a good stablizer. prepare a reisitor and zener dioder for a reference.

now a power is in front of you.

It seems that you dont want regulated ouputs.

You just want 12V and 24V at 5Amps each.

I expect that you want to get these outputs from a 230V@50Hz supply .

I did like this...

Buy a transformer with 24-12-0-12-24 10Amps configuration.

Now connect anodes of two 7A diodes to extreme ends and join the cathodes. this joint is +24V output. Now take two more 7A diodes and connect thier anodes to 12 and 12 V points and join the cathodes. This joint is 12V output.

The 0V center tap on the trans former is common ground point for 12V and 24V outputs.

I hope this helps.
