Energy saving devices.

07/01/2011 3:25 AM

I'm sure that if a group of us got together we could come up with a box that we could market as "Energy Saver model £$€".

Lots of money to be made even if it's unethical.

We could get LynDoor to market it, then they can take the stick when the law suits come in.

i thought PT Barnum did that, but what he said makes this a viable proposition. Since one is born every minute (now maybe every 15sec?).

We could call it the Snake Oil Energy Multiplier or something similar, with my avatar (courtesy MC Escher) on the package.

I already did it, I'd be happy to share the proceeds. But so far, nobody has purchased one. Maybe I was too honest by sharing a picture?

Then there is this variation, especially proficient at cutting energy use in electric motor powered systems.

We can call it the "Ultimate Watt Stopper model CR4EE "

I like them both: but I think if you added an LCD and some LED's and ideally some sort of annoying beeper, you would get more sales.

It would also be good if it ignored what you did until you answered a simple question - E.g.

What's unethical about making lots of money?

Greed is good.

Watt stopper... Watt sucker... I'm writing this down, good stuff! This is bound to be wildly successful compared to our pre-rusted lawn tools, or our light compressor.

That's good. Something like this, " The Watt Stopper is guaranteed to save up to 100% of all the electricity used in a normal house, or your money cheerfully refunded".

Of course "up to 100%" can mean anything from 0-100%.
