07/06/2011 1:13 PM

Hello folks,

According to ASME B31.3 code there is defintion on Category D Fluid Service like below.

1. Non flammable, nontoxic and non damaging human tissue

2. Design gauge pressure not exceeding 1035 kPa(150 psi)

3. Design temperaure from -29 deg C to 186 deg C

My quesiton is that I wonder if all of thee conditions above have to be satisfied for Category D fluid services or if any of one or two out of three conditions would be met, it can be allowed to Category D fluid.

I apprecaite if anybody will answer to my question.

If it falls outside any, it falls into a different category.

Rather like height width and length will fit in a certain shipping container. If one won't, your looking at a different container.
