FF Instrument Testing

07/09/2011 5:38 AM

Hi guys,

I am looking for a method to powerup and test my fieldbus transmitters and valves without connecting to the system. The transmitters & valves are mounted on a pump skid and wired to FF junction boxes mounted on the skid battery limit.

Our client is asking us to power up the transmitters and check its functioning using a normal 24V power supply. Is this possible? I dont have much experience in FF instrumentation and require ur help to check these instruments functionality.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

You can do it with 375 Communicator - but this need to be with FF compatibility.

Other way will be powering up a segment (up to Instruments), then download the configuration of each Instrument from Engg Workstation or any other means, then commissioning activities such as testing/simulating/stroke-checking can be done easily from work station.

Good luck !!!

You may want to try asking at the Fieldbus User Network. Only takes a minute to register and I pretty much guarantee you will get answer.
