For any of you that have worked with PF you may enjoy this, or may be not http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJs_bf4pVkk I blew out 45 explosion doors in one night, nothing as bad as this.

Thanks for the link.

Fine dusts made up of ignitable materials are always prone to autoignition. With the right concentration of the dust (a fuel) in air, all that's needed is an ignition source. This is often provided in transfer operations as the discharge of a static buildup.

Sorry to hear about the 45 doors. Did you have to pay for them (I blew out 45 explosion doors in one night,)? Were they on the same equipment type as in the video?

I was in a coal plant in Moundsville, WV to calibrate a mass airflow meter - sulfury smell pervaded the air.

Doing traverses on 8 foot diameter ducts with the air temperature at 500 - 600ºF was quite problematic but I finally finished and I was glad to be headed for home.

Hi Tony,

Just a bit curiousity from me:

1. What is PF?

2. What is the structure in the video?

3. You blew 45 doors, was it because you lost control or by accident?

4. What caused the explosion?
