Suggestion on Torque Measuring Equipment (Single Phase)

hi all ,

I am completely noob in electric field , this request is for my cousin who is working as lecture and she wants to buy a torque measuring equipment for single phase induction motor used in grinder . hope you all will help me in suggesting me the equipment which is available all in india . thanks a lot in advance ......

"Prony brake" for measurement; but motor torques can be calculated, if not already given in their specifications.

Here are some articles about "prony brakes" for torque measurement.

Horsepower = 2 pi rpm torque (in consistent units). From this, you can calculate in reverse what the full-load torque is for an X hp motor at Y rpm. The starting torque depends on the design of the motor, and is often ~2 x full-load torque; but this varies.
