Can We Upgrade Normal Welding Machine To High Frequency Machine For TIG.?

can we upgrade LINCOLN R3R 500 welding machine to High frequency TIG machine?

with the help of an attachment(TIG module) same as that of LINCOLN?

Because our contract specification demands HF machines for TIG welding(scratch start is not permitted),

Currently we have only R3R 500/ 600, CV-655 models(LINCOLN) only..So i just want to know that is it possible to upgrade/convert these machines to HF(high frequency).,with the aid of any attachments/alteration.,

Yes, you can. Just get the TIG module and some gas.

Contact the manufacturer of welding machine you have. You have not even specified it except model no. You can add high frequency unit in existing DC machine. But if you need AC high frequency (needed for aluminum welding) then different machine may be required.

yes its DC only(LINCOLN)., But now we face another problem that remote control of TIG MODULE(LINCOLN) is not functioning properly.,we tried two remotes same as that of LINCOLN,. i think its better to tap remote from the main machine itself...?
