Electrical Engineer Software Questions

I would like to recommend ETAP..

At present, I am no in touch of power system analysis. However I used INTERACTIVE POWER SYSTEM ANALYSIS (IPSA) in 1983. I studied Thee (3) gulf regional electrical networks' power system Analysis and having interconnection link. This program developed by "The University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology" UK.

It was having inbuilt three (3) programs; 1. Load flow,2 Short Circuit Analysis,& 3. Transient stability.

It was having facilities as AutoCAD to draw the whole network and it automatically creates the databank for each element of the network to fill the data.

The sequence of operations was load flow analysis, short circuit calculation and Transient Stability by applying a fault on the study or interested generator and see which place generator goes out of synchronous from the network that might create un-stability in the network.

The following things shall be looked into the software that can handle:

1. Number of load Buses

2. Number of Generator Buses

3. Number of control buses

4. Inbuilt programs load flow, short circuit & Transient stability

5. DC link between two separate networks

6. Shall be interactive graphic type
