I-Explorer Blanked/ Blocked Only GMail

I downloaded IE9 last week because my wife uses IE. It looked like it sent little tentacles all through my computer. I deleted the download within ten minutes and she can stay with IE8.

I deleted Microsoft a few years ago for the same reason. "little tentacles"...I like that!

Only reason a person use a Internet Explorer is to Download another better Browser.

I would see if one or other possibilities may have occurred... 1) See if a setting was changed. 2) Run a virus scan. 3) Run a Malware and Spy ware scan. 4) Download any MS Windows Update. What happens is where you uninstall a program a power outage, or someone as I witnessed a person who thinks they cut the power off to the PC instead of shutting down properly the Operating System files gets trashed. Also any programs like Kazza, Gator, these free crap ware programs allow all sorts of stuff to load onto a PC, there may be some white papers on this subject for research. Also check Microsoft Tech Net for any known issues and email support, I believe there is even a Forum on the MS website that may answer questions that I may be unaware of. It is what the IE asked me to change:

Have to remove google.com from:

Tools ==>> Compatible view setting Remove google.com

After removing google.com normal view enabled.

But by marking the 3rd button "Display all websites in compatibility view" in spite of removing google normal view remained disabled.

The only reason to use IE is for websites that still use ActiveX instead of Java.
Or to "download a better browser" like someone else already said!

"little tentacles" -- I like that too! It's quite true though. MS applications leverage access to the system level components unlike any other product because they can.

it sounds like you need to uninstall IE 9 & go back to IE8 for windows updates
