Miller Diesel Welding Generator

08/12/2011 2:38 PM

I have MILLER Diesel welding Generator,Model BIG BLUE - 500 Series, it gives DC voltage at welding output terminals when the STICK welding is selected from selector switch located on main panel of generator. but it does not give any output voltage at welding terminals when TIG welding option is selected from selector switch located on main panel.

And your question is???

A question for you though, why do you care? TIG welding is all about the current, not the voltage. Tip voltage is also varying by the length of the arc and the selected current, why do you need to know what it is? And are you doing AC or DC TIG welding?

Are you saying the TIG part is not working? Well it's not supposed to, until your torch trigger switch is connected, pushed, and the circuits it controls are operational. S.M.
