Leakage Current And Voltage

08/19/2011 1:03 PM

What is the allowable % in flowing of leakage current & voltage in Miniature Circuit Breaker at 230 V or 415 V ac in different ratings of MCB such as 0.5 to 100 amps when the MCB is in OFF condition having input power supply.

Thanking you

Is it in your hand to allow leakage current in CB? can you define leakage voltage of CB.

If it is a GFCI CB, then it operates at >=5mAmps as per NEC-USA

If it's in your hand then the leakage current would be the same as if it were in the o-f-f position.

As per IS/IEC 60898-1 The lekage current flowing across the open contactsis measured shall not exceed 2 mA with a supply voltage 1.1 times of operational voltage. The circuit breaker being in the open position
