That is a digital relay.

It's a relay, that is digital.

Digital means it is electronic, but not analog.

Relay means it does not really DO anything itself, it provides signals to other equipment (or people) to do something.

Is that an explanation for a digital relay ?

Wow, times have changed !!! i used to explain in words, aided by charts, circuit diagrams, what not..

i now realise that one picture is worth a thousand words ....
