electrical engineer but wan2 get into bio-medical instrumentations

i m doing my 3rd yr engineering noe!!

i was vry much interested in bio, and due to circumstances took up electrical engineering. i ve keen interest to get into bio-medical instrumentation s atleast. could anyone suggest as to which would be a short method for me to get my dreams:)

there are schools who offers that programs it depends where you lived I am pretty much sure they will accept som the credits.

You are doing engineering. You don't want to do that anymore, and want to get into bio-medical instrumentation. i am curious...who, do you think, conceptualise, design, detail out and produce these instruments? Doctors? Paramedics? Artists? In my experience, it is Engineers who do all that, of course according to what the Doctors want. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronics is a must ! Of course, since one engineer cannot have all that knowledge, a team of engineers, industrial(aesthetic, ergonomic) designers, draftsmen etc. are formed to create such instrumentation.

Or are you talking about some other thing?

hey you took me wrong!! i never said tat i don't want to do engineering. i just asked if anyone could help me out with any details to get into tat particular field along with my engineering, i m very well aware of the value of an engineer!! just keen of learning bio-medical's but have no knowledge how to start:(

Hi there,

Who said that as an engineer you can't get into bio field?First of all,I would like to know what is your major?I have graduated in electronics majoring in bio-instrumentation.My job scope-we deal with medical equipment such as x-ray machine,ultra sound,MRI etc.Just want to share some info.Anyway,can I know where you from?
