Electrical Design Software-recommendations?

08/26/2011 11:12 PM

Phil in Lexington, Kentucky here. The firm I am doing consulting work with in the electrical design area is interested in acquiring a good electrical design software package. It will need to do load studies, AC/DC, fault current and coordination calculations, voltage drop and cable/conduit schedules, motor load studies and possibly arc flash calculations. I have used SKM and am a little familar with Easy Power. Does anyone out there have any other recommendations or experience that would be helpful? Thanks in advance for your knowledge.

Try ETAP. It has a lot of Design and Study option. Current ETAP Version is 7.5
