What is the use of Current transducers in Incomer of the panel?

If the ammeter is in the same panel it could be connected to the CT via a special terminal block with short circuiting facility to remove the ammeter for repairs/replace. if ammeter is remote-located as in tele-metering you need a transducer to send a 4-20mA signal to the remote meter.
