This refers to immersion type Electric Heaters for refinery applications with ASME Sec VIII-1 design code + U stamp requirement for shell, flange and associated nozzles.
For the heater flange part at the end, where the heater elements are strength welded with flange, pls clarify whether flange shall be designed as per UHX considering it as a heater tubesheet or considering flat head as per UG-34 of ASME SEC VIII-1?
