Centre of Gravity in Electrical Enclosures

what is the centre of gravity for an enclosure of 2100Hx1200Wx400D .Busbars, mccbs, mcb, relays, lamps, fuses etc have been placed inside the panel & the total weight is around 500Kg. the enclosure has lifting eye bolts on the top. so how do we find the exact centre of gravity.

With a crane-weigh device, a piece of round bar and a few calculations.

Consult a Mechanical Engineer.

Lift the panel with a two or four leg chain set with dog clutches on the legs.

I hate to say this but even with an equal lift on each end of the beam the load will lift at an angle.

It needs unequal lengths on the legs to lift square.

Only if the live (weight) center of the enclosure does not lie on the actual centerline.

If it does not (which is very likely), select a different set of holes along the bottom for attachment, and whichever hole at the top to balance the load.

For this application, the image of the beam is upside down. Single hole will be distal, not proximal.

Use a load leveler and balance it as it is lifted. It doesn't need to be over-engineered.
