Your Description of "Heart-Attack" is Incorrect...

Dear Friends: Your description of a heart-attack is incorrect. An attack occurs when there is a blockage in the vessels/matrix of the heart,causing damage to the heart-tissue up-stream of the blockage. The brain is NOT immediately affected, unless you have fibrilation(spasming), where no "pumping" of blood is occuring, THEN the brain could be affected from as little as 5 minutes from the spasming. It there's a blockage to brain vasculature, then THAT is a stroke, not a heart-attack. Just substitute "heart" for "brain" in your heart-attack description. There's no "secret" way to send this, sorry. The articles's wonderful news, very encouraging! I hope this continues, using gold wires in the scaffolding for stem and other cells.

This should not have been posted as a new thread. Since you are apparently replying to the blog entry Gold Nanowires to Treat Heart Attack Patients you should have used the Reply button on that thread. "Just substitute "heart" for "brain" in your heart-attack description."

I'm pretty certain that most people who read the article realized this was a simple word substititution error, and that 'heart' was intended by the writer.

Don't you mean "downstream" of the blockage, as if there is blockage in an artery feeding the heart means that there is no oxygen going to that area of the heart and hence a heart attack will occurr along with damage to the area effected by the lack of oxygen. In retrospect a stroke is caused by the same thing, blockage to a part of the brain from some cause which cuts off oxygen to that part of the brain "downstream" of the blockage and causing damage to that part of the brain.

Downstream means down the flow of something like a river or down the gullet after you swallow some beer?

I didn't see the original blog, but it would be of interest to me, as I've had about a dozen heart attacks and a stroke, and 7 stents.
