I tried to format memory stick through windows and DOS. Through windows it did not format. See post #6 below, and stop connecting the USB stick to other computers least you find they stop working also.

Destroy the USB stick so you don't accidentally infect any other computers, and get some virus protection software while your at it.

Yes and no, yes it was propagated that way but no it targeted Siemens PLCs (and windows OS I guess as well, what doesn't attack windows), besides this looks more like an instant disabling or corrupting malware or virus with the possible ability to spread.

You tried to get around locks that the manufacture placed in the software. Mess up your computer. This is not a hack site. Reboot the computer and stop playing around with it if you don't know what your doing. This is an engineering site. Some of the members maybe the one designing those locks in the software. Kinda defeats the purpose of their job to help you out.

If you cannot remove the drive and recover it from another machine (instead of trying to boot from it), then I would take this as a valuable lesson to always backup your important files before you start work which could be considered "questionable", i.e., downloading jailbreaking software (WaReZ).

I would seriously advise against this in this particular case based on my comments in post #6 below. Chances are the drive and usb stick are malware infected and connecting them to another computer or network is asking for trouble (especially when kazengg indicates he/she uses no virus protection programs).

Do you remember what I said in the previous thread about antivirus software (link)? Well it appears you have infected your laptop with a virus or malware when you downloaded and ran a PSP jailbreak application (which may very well have been just a virus or malware in disguise).

Your not going to get any help from me other than to try a complete format of the laptop and hope that fixes is (it may not), as for your memory stick and PSP, they are probably un-fixable.

When you try and jailbreak a device there is always a serious risk of unrecoverable failure, especially when you download free unknown quality applications off the internet when employing no virus protection.
