I've been a fool to myself
This follows on from Kramarat's post about his friend.
For the last 5 years I've been having problems passing water. Like a fool I kept quiet about it (pride). Moving to a new location meant a new doctor. So a visit to the practice nurse for a general health check. She did some urine tests while I was there, she turned around and asked straight out if I'd been having problems. Had to admit "yes".
I was scared the moment the doctor mentioned prostate cancer so I needed tests. Got the results last Thursday, pancreas OK and more surprisingly so are my liver and kidneys.
OK I will have to take tablets for the pancreas for the rest of my life. They've made one hell of a difference to me. The worry of cancer is now lifted, for now!
All because I was to embarrassed / proud / stupid to ask!
