Electronic Timers - Types and Costs

04/25/2007 10:52 AM

I was wondering whether anyone could give me some advice about electronic timers.

I am currently investigating the type of timer required by an industrial installation where an optimised start up is required. Currently all electrical equipment is left on overnight as the machines need to be switched on at 4 am for an 8 am start.

The installation therefore requires a timer system whereby the machines can be set to come on at 4 pm and go off when the production period for the day ends.

Any advice would be most welcome about the product type and associated costs for installation

Dominic

you can design one for your goal. its not complex by using a microchip or simple using two or three 555 circuit to implement the function.

its cheaper.

you are not really explaining how you are controlling right now, but, an easy way to do this would be to write some simple code in to the program ie:siemens s7, off delay, just build in a DB and use the S5t#XhXXmXXsXXXms, trigger and then PV.
