Emotional Energy !

10/28/2011 1:11 AM

Some times,I feel dull and with low or no energy. But just by hearing some news or getting some information in my fever ,I get energised and feel enthusiastic. My question is does biological energy has some thing to do with my psychology ,and how it works. My feelings and emotions has no material value then from where the energy comes that to ( in some cases ),in seconds ?And can we convert this energy in real energy .

Could be a number of reasons. Anxiety attacks, Where Serotonin as well as other hormones that can affect how you feel.

And can we convert this energy in real energy .

You mean like harvest these hormones, I suggest you google your symptoms.

Could also have to do with the production/release of endorphins maybe not directly responsible for feeling more energy but most certainly to the feeling of well being which could enhance energy levels.

As far as conversion of your perceived energy into real energy, might be a good research topic for you.

Exciting news or information, in this case, is sending a signal in your brain to stimulate the release of excitatory neurotransmitters - which in turn make you feel enthusiastic and energized.

My guess would be glutamate, norepinephrine, dopamine or some combination thereof, which are excitatory neurotransmitters, involved in processing thoughts and ideas. Your brain has responded to the "news" by stimulating their release.

You're not alone in this phenomenon! I also seek stimulating news because of the rewarding feeling of excitement and energy that I get.

Can we convert this energy in real energy. This is electrical energy on the order of a few milliamps. I can't imagine you would want to convert your "brain energy" into a power source, say, to run a lightbulb. It is not enough in any case, and I suspect you'd be feeling a little drained.

I know what you mean. Do you? The device in the picture is a human powered electrical generator. It can produce light, if connected to a light source.

You will have to conduct your own experiments to try to produce light energy directly.

This is I think the idea behind steroids, hormone induced energy...Human beings are extremely efficient, biologically speaking, compared to human made contraptions...When you take into consideration that 3500 calories = 1 lb of fat, roughly equivalent to 3 lbs of hamburger, and that you must jog ~8 hrs to use that energy, you can see the difference....Imagine if you could run your car for 8 hrs on a few lbs of organic material...The energy in 1 gallon of gasoline is 31,500 food calories.
