Automated date code for aluminum die cast

I am looking for info on an automatic date code wheel similar to that used in plastic injection molding. I'm thinking of a wheel format but would be interested in anything. Please let me know if there is anything "off the shelf" used in the industry.

Those are not automatic. The ones I have seen are set by the workers for batch numbers and date codes.

I assume by automatic you mean one that keeps the date and rotates the wheel on it's own.

there are hundreds of these systems, all made for their industry. laser merkers, bad code label printer, etc. suggest you dril down this pile.
